Why Bay Breeze?

Benefit #1

Ventilation Without Compromise

Traditional screen doors add bulk and clutter, while leaving your main door open can attract bugs and dust. The Bay Breeze system allows you to open your door for fresh air while keeping insects out — thanks to the integrated flyscreen hidden within the door structure. It’s discreet, effective, and perfect for the Australian climate.

Benefit #2

Secure by Design

Security shouldn’t be an afterthought. Unlike traditional setups that require separate security screen doors, Bay Breeze combines the function of both into one. With robust timber construction and internal locking features, the 2-in-1 design keeps your home safe while maintaining airflow and visibility.

Benefit #3

Smart Space-saving Solution

Many homes — especially in metro areas — don’t have room for outward-swinging screen doors. Bay Breeze eliminates the need for extra framing or door layers, freeing up entryway space and improving access. Its compact, all-in-one design simplifies installation while offering full functionality in any layout.

FAQ

What is a 2-in-1 door?

A Bay Breeze 2-in-1 door combines a solid entrance door and a built-in screen system into one unit. The outer layer is a traditional timber door, while a sash window inside can be opened to allow ventilation through the hidden flyscreen — no need for separate screen doors.

Can I use this door as a regular front door?

Yes — the Bay Breeze door is a fully functional entrance door that meets Australian Standard AS 2688–2017, offering the strength, insulation, and performance you’d expect from any high-quality front door.

Is the timber sustainably sourced?

Yes, all Bay Breeze doors use FSC®, PEFC, and CFCC certified timber, ensuring they’re environmentally responsible and sourced from approved sustainable forestry practices.

Is it secure?

Absolutely. Each door is reinforced with 316 high-strength steel mesh, friction hinges to hold the sash open securely, and multi-point locking systems for added safety.

How does the ventilation work?

The internal sash window can be opened to various angles. When open, it allows airflow through the integrated steel mesh screen, keeping bugs out while letting fresh air in — all without opening the full entrance door.

Do I still need to install a separate screen door?

No. That’s the beauty of the Bay Breeze system. The screen is built into the door’s structure, offering the convenience of a flyscreen without additional installations or hardware.

What sizes are available?

Bay Breeze doors are available in a range of sizes from 1990x700x40mm up to 2400x1020x40mm, including French and modern styles.

Can I paint or stain the door?

Yes. The doors are finished with a clear primer and are suitable for staining or painting to match your home’s aesthetic.

Are Bay Breeze doors covered by warranty?

Yes — all Bay Breeze 2-in-1 doors come with a 5-year warranty, covering manufacturing defects and performance issues under normal use.

Where are Bay Breeze doors made?

Bay Breeze doors are designed specifically for the Australian market and engineered to suit local climate and building standards.
